A change that alters several foods, routines and behaviours at the same time.
All conceptsWhy does the paleo diet keep coming back?
Paleo is compelling because it packages several changes inside one memorable story: modern food is the problem, ancestral food is the repair. Its rules can reduce many highly processed foods and make choices easier, so some followers may feel better quickly. But there was no single Paleolithic diet, modern definitions differ, and early benefits do not prove that the evolutionary story is the reason they occurred.
See it at workWhy can vegans and high-protein meat eaters both feel better?
Both groups can genuinely feel better because they may start from different baselines and change many things besides animal-food intake. Either diet can increase meal planning, protein or fibre adequacy, reduce particular highly processed foods, alter energy intake and remove foods a person tolerates poorly. Short-term wellbeing is real evidence about that person, but it does not by itself identify the active ingredient or establish long-term health superiority.
